In a surprising collaboration that challenges conventional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Disclosed

According to the formal release, "An unusual meeting leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where rumors of prohibited rituals and monstrous transformations resonate through the darkness." The plot introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a secret group.

The questline focuses on "peculiar trials and a terrifying foe" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Metamorphoses

The teaser features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview concludes with a striking moment showing a character, probably the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Bonus Features

Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an exclusive katana in addition to numerous artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
